This dataset represents the Comprehensive Airport Land Use Plan (CALUP) Referral Area Boundaries for all airports in Sonoma County. This data were originally provided to PRMD by Coffman Associates, Inc. as 2001 CAD data files for Exhibits 8A through 8F for the Comprehensive Airport Land Use Plan for Sonoma County and shapefile data from Mead & Hunt.
Note: With the exception of the Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport the referral areas in this dataset were created in-house by PRMD - GIS using the methods described in the Resource Details section. The Charles M. Schulz -Sonoma County Airport referral areas were provided by Mead & Hunt as a shapefile 3/21/2016. The referral areas of the remaining airports are a best approximation of the dimensions and location of the referral areas and should be replaced with shapefile data provided by a consultant in the next update of the CALUP.
Since the GIS data was developed for planning purposes and use in publication of maps and/or database creation, the data is for illustrative purpose only and is not suitable for parcel specific decision making. Therefore, the GIS data presented herein are approximations and further land development determination is at the discretion of the PRMD planning staff which may require a parcel specific site review (to draw parcel specific conclusions). |
